This is a view towards the kids new play house. I was going to put the greenhouse here but kids come first
I have had an allotment for 15 years. Over the course of time it has changed and developed as needs dictated. From the initial rush of growing everything, disappointments, not actually liking much of it, to children and a space to play safely and enjoy the countryside. I have recently taken on a new plot just for growing fruit and veg. Not just because of a fad or trend but a real necessity. Hope you enjoy reading about it

Time For a Change
This next group of photo's shows some of the changes being made to the allotment at the beginning of spring.
That's me! My hat may look daft but i'm happy
This is 'our house'. It's somewhere dry and warm to sit and have a brew but it's a little too small so i am extending it. The base is being build and that window frame (brand new pvc for £1) will go at the front. For the side i got some old patio doors that will provide lots of light. To the right of the house used to be a lean-to greenhouse but the wind finished it off So a friend of a friend had a greenhouse that needed moving so thats going in to the left.

Here the greenhouse is in place being loaded up with plants etc. The quartz rocks are from our front garden at home. The bare patch of groung was were the veg plots used to be. They have been levelled and seeded with grass which is just starting to grow.

After looking at various houses i decided to build it myself. Quite good i think
